This is a statement I doubt I will ever forget.

It was a Monday evening in the month of may, I was photographing a naming ceremony. Yes I was going through my own internal battles but it comes to a time in life when we realise that it is not always about us but also about serving the interest of God’s kingdom and serving other people. (see Matthew 6:33)

Insecurity is something that God is helping me  with, so for me taking pictures, especially in relatively  large gatherings definitely is a great way to overcome these insecurities.

Phillippians 4:13 makes us understand that we can do all things through Christ that strengthens us and in John 8:36 we learn that whom the son of man sets free is free indeed!

So today, I pray for everyone struggling with insecurities and self esteem, I pray that you experience true freedom and I will also encourage you to read the book of Ephesians, Isaiah 61 and I John 4. These scriptures will change and transform you. I will also go through them myself.

Back to the statement “she is looking at you” it sounds really plain, not complicated but it is deep, trust me.

So I was taking pictures and I didn’t realise this little baby of not up to six months was staring at me. I was caught up in my craft. Looking through the camera’s viewfinder and capturing memories that needed to be preserved.

“She is looking at you” her mother called at me, wanting me to capture her baby girl, who is very adorable by the way.

Immediately things began to drop in my spirit. People are looking at us as women of God, those of us that claim to be Christians, myself included. They are looking at us, looking up to us.

The Bible makes us understand that we are living epistles  ( 2 Corinthians 3: 2) Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:

We are read by people. We ought to shine in this dark world living the way Christ lived and attracting people to God’s kingdom.

That statement made me conscious. I began to ponder about what people might see when they see me, are they seeing Christ, have I failed as a Christian woman, am I a mother? Am I a sister? Do I love? Am I a servant? Does my dressing glorify God? Do my habits glorify God?

It might be a baby that was looking at me and I don’t care if she was a day old but she ought to see Christ when she sees me, after all the baby in elizabeth’s womb leaped when Mary came visiting.

This is not a long post but I would encourage us as Christian women especially as young women to be intentional about how we live not just because people are watching us but because we fear and love God, we should acknowledge Him in all our ways.

Let’s be genuine seekers and lovers of God, let’s take GOD serious remember, God is love, and when we come to Him, He changes and transforms us. I see each of us fulfilling destiny and becoming the best that God has called us to be!

Lord Jesus, Word, makes me understand that I am an epistle to the world and people ought to see Christ when they see me. I pray that like Queen Esther, you give me the grace, the courage, the meekness, and the teachable spirit to undergo any changes because the change I want to see must first begin in me. lord the world is waiting for me to manifest your glory, I will not fail my generation in Jesus’ name!Thank you father because you have heard me. In Jesus’s name I pray. Amen!

He loves you so much to have sent His only Son to die on the cross for you. He loves you. read my testimony here. My life was in crisis and Jesus saved me, and I am what and who I am today by the grace of God.

if you would want to give your life to Christ, say this prayer of faith with me:

Father God, I love You, I come to you today in faith asking You to forgive my sins. Jesus, I believe in you, I believe you died on the cross for me. You shed your innocent blood for me, You took my place and all the punishment I deserve. I believe you died and were buried and on the third day You rose from the dead. Death could not hold You. You have conquered satan and taken the keys of hell and death from him. I believe you did all of this for me because you love me. I want to be a Christian. I want to serve you all the days of my life. I want to learn how to live the new life You have promised me. I receive You now Jesus, and I give myself to You. Take me just the way I am and make me what you want me to be.
Thank You Jesus, for saving me. Fill me with your holy spirit and teach me everything I need to know. Now I believe I am saved, I have been born again, and I will go to heaven when I die. Father God, I am going to enjoy my journey and live for your glory!
