Some people have gone through horrible experiences, rape, abandonment, sickness, heartbreak. The list is endless, we go through things in life that make us ask God, why me? And God completely understands, He is the omniscient God. He knows how we feel.
He even sent Christ to die for us, so whatever it is we might have gone through, Christ has gone through it and more. Christ was insulted, betrayed, rejected, spat on, whipped, and to crown it all, He was nailed to the cross like a common prisoner for nothing at all, He was innocent. So no one can say that oh, Jesus doesn’t understand because He does.
However, it is very important to know that after Christ went through all of that, He entered His glory, and in fact, it is because He went through that and humbled Himself to death on the cross, that at the mention of His name every knee bows and every tongue confesses that He is God. It is also the same for us as women of God, the things that we’ve been through and are going through will make us enter into higher realms of glory, don’t wish you pain and problems away. It is good to pray but know that your pain is a blessing in disguise and that all things will surely work together for your good.
Joyce Meyer is a good example, she was raped by her father but now it has become her testimony and message, her story inspires millions around the world. So let God use that pain, shame and past for His glory and to beautify your life and the lives of others.
Prayer: Father, what a joy it is to know that You can give me beauty for ashes. Lord I trust that I went through all that I did for a reason. Help me to discover that reason and embrace it. Use my past and pain for Your glory and help me to be a blessing to others and an inspiration to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
