I love how this is a commandment, “thou shall not be afraid” it is a command, don’t be afraid.
There are so many phobias in the world today and a lot of them stop people from fulfilling destiny. There’s the fear of what people think, fear of heights, fear of water, fear of taking steps, fear of making mistakes, the list is exhaustive.
Fear is one of the greatest trap if not the greatest trap of the enemy to stop people from fulfilling their dreams. Fear is a thief, it deprives people of what could be. The enemy came to steal, kill and destroy, but God came for us to live our life to the full, to maximize our potential for his glory.
The verse says we shouldn’t be afraid of the terror by night nor of the arrow that flieth by day. We shouldn’t be afraid, we have weapons to fight the devil, we have the name of Jesus that is higher than all names, we have the blood that speaks better than the blood of Abel, we have the word to reply the enemy when he tries to come to us.
Our response as women of God should be faith and not fear. Rebuke the fear and walk in faith, walk by faith and not by side. I love Hebrews 11:27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. Moses walked like he saw God, that is faith.
Begin to know that God is with you every minute of every day so you need not be afraid of anything. God is with you!
Confession: I have God on my side! I will not be afraid of the terror by night nor for the arrow that flieth by day. God is my protector, I walk in faith today and refuse to let the devil oppress me. Amen.
