COMMITMENT- Sunday, 18th September, 2016.

september-18

God’s word is powerful and this verse is Jesus Christ Himself speaking!.

Jesus Christ was so committed to the works of His Father, He showed unmatchable dedication to seeing His father’s business being competed.

Today, a lot of people neglect the work and their primary call in life and begin to the works that we are not sent to do. Some people are even more loyal to their bosses in the office than to the almighty God all in the name of earning money. But John 9:3-4 doesn’t just say “work” but works of Him that sent us.

It goes further to say while it is day, that could represent the youthful age. The bible says we should remember the Lord in the days of our youth that is before we are older with children and grand children (Ecc 12:1)

As young women with hearts that pant for God, we should always endeavour to do the things God has called us to do no matter how we feel because we live by faith and not by sight (2 Cor 5:7). That dream God has given you is a big one but start from somewhere, begin to work at it and remember that the vision speaks the loudest at the end. Remain dedicated, focused and don’t underestimate the power of growth.

Now that you’re young, use your youthful energy to serve God. In church you find the older people praising and even serving more than the younger ones. Glory to God for their strength anyway, but the youths ought be an example in speech, love and conduct (1 Tim 4:12)

Receive grace to go about your father in heaven’s business while you’re young and while it is still day. I see the spirit of God empowering you to do exploits for God!

Prayer: God, reveal to me what I am sent to do and give me grace to do it joyfully now that I’m still in my days of youth. Help me to serve you while I am young and agile, help my speech love and conduct to be an example. In the Precious Name of Jesus! Amen!
