Even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more” Isaiah 43:25 (NIV)
Yesterday, we learned that God forgives us when we confess our sins, He not only forgives but purifies us from every filth to look more and more like Him.
However, people still struggle with the fact that, God can’t remember their sin when they’ve been f0rgiven. It is God that blots out our transgressions, the meaning of blot and it means “to remove with absorbing material” according to the Merriam webster online dictionary. God removes our sin because of who He is and doesn’t remember them anymore.
Some people still cry over sins or mistakes that God can’t literally remember. They beat themselves up over sins they ought to have received forgiveness for and moved on!
I pray that God will enable you to accept His forgiveness and accept the fact that your sin has been blotted out, your shame has been taken away and that God has literally forgotten your sin.
You are a new creation and if anyone tries to remind you of what God has forgotten and what you might have even forgotten, you can just tell them simply what’s in the bible “If any man, be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away and behold all things are become NEW!”- 2 Corinthians 5:17
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, I know You have forgiven my sins and also forgotten them, today, I choose to walk free from condemnation, I refuse to let guilt come between my relationship with You. Amen
